Dr. Michael Butt
Having taught history at the school for 14 years, Dr. Michael Butt understands exactly what makes Grammar stand out. As one of the school’s many dedicated teachers, Michael strives every day to make the Grammar experience an exceptional one for his students, filled with ample and unique opportunities for learning and development.
“We’re constantly evolving and pushing the envelope from an academic perspective at the school, exploring new methods to challenge our students and new learning strategies to help them succeed. We’re also very community oriented on the social side, which, in combination, allows us to prepare today’s youth to become successful, conscientious adults tomorrow.”
In addition to Grammar’s emphasis on academics and student volunteer work, Michael believes that the school’s extracurricular programming is particularly noteworthy. As the director of Grammar’s JA Program, which provides students with entrepreneurial opportunities and support, Michael helps students learn to develop their very own products and to take them to market. Mobilizing parent support and identifying venture capital opportunities, Michael is passionate about helping students in their entrepreneurial pursuits through this standout Grammar program.
“At Grammar, we take pride in providing our students with exceptional opportunities for not only academic and social development, but professional development as well. It’s important to us to show our students how what they learn in the classroom can be transferred to many different professions in many different fields. The possibilities really are endless.”
As a donor to the school’s Engaging Excellence Campaign, Michael is thrilled to help fund important programming and knowledge tools for Grammar students, from the latest innovations in chemistry lab equipment to online database access for the social sciences.
“Ultimately, our donations enrich the experiences of our students, and help us to create broader access to the extraordinary opportunities that Grammar provides.”
